I was not satisfied with the massage at all. The therapist massaged my feet while wearing gloves that were too large for their hands, and the excess material kept rubbing against and irritating my feet. I repeatedly asked them to take the gloves off, but they refused. As a result, I was unable to relax or enjoy the treatment.
A couple of years ago was ok, now staffed by unregistered, unqualified staff. The woman I had dug her elbow mostly into my bones instead of muscles, didn’t do the same thing on both sides and often completely forgot to do a body part that she’d done on the other side. Waste of money at best, injury at worst. I checked - NO STAFF currently working there are qualified therapists. The only registered name I could find doesn’t appear to work there as a therapist.
I went for a massage yesterday. Have been previously and had the owner. She is very good. The woman she has employed though, is unqualified. Didn’t even ask if I had any sore areas. Scolded me with hot stones. No pressure at all. They also still advertise that you can claim through health insurance, which isn’t true. Not a good experience.
This review is based on the unqualified woman they have employed to do massage here. We completely agree with Su G’s review as we had the same experience described by them followed by a scalding hot towel to finish. The owner (presumed) is an excellent masseuse, however, if you employ unqualified people, you should expect to receive poor reviews.
My massage was terrible. The lady did not seem to know what she was doing. She kept digging into my spine and massaged by bones and ribs instead of the sore muscles. Sometimes there was no pressure at all , like she was patting me and when I asked for stronger she dug her elbows really hard into the dangerous parts of my spine. She completely forgot to do one half of my back , she didn’t do my arms and shoulders , scalded me with the hot stones and then finished so abruptly with no easing out of massage mode like they normally do.. I paid $90 for the worst massage I’ve ever had. It was definitely not done by anyone qualified or with any skills and I left more sore than when I arrived and was extremely disappointed and unsure if it’s even a reputable buisness considering the efpos machine mysteriously never works and they ask for cash only but don’t advertise this out the front. They also have no ABN but claim you can get a receipt for medical rebates. I went back after a few minutes and asked to speak to the manager but was told that apparently they weren’t available for weeks. I am hoping to be refunded.
